GIT-R-DONE

Mark and I went to a Halloween party last Friday and the theme was Redneck. Mark's favorite thing to dress up as. We went as a pregnant couple getting married. That is why I look so huge. I was kind of mad I didn't get a better picture of Mark's mullet. His hair was a little longer and we HOT GLUED some fake hair in on the ends to make a mullet. It looked absolutely disgusting. I was actually not attracted to him at all. It was very hard for me to look at him and not get grossed out.

They had a corn eating contest. I have some gross pictures of guys eating but I can't stand looking at them so I only posted the not so gross ones.

This was the winner of the contest. He ate 4 corn on the cobs in 2 minutes....something to be proud of.

This was Mark's Halloween costume in 2006. He grew his hair out for a while and I just cut the sides of it to make it look white trash. I am so lucky to have such a handsome husband!! My favorite part was his mustache. He looks so good in one!!

Very Naughty Boy

My baby is now 6 months old as of yesterday. I swear it is not fair how fast these kids grow up. He apparently has found out that he has knees and can get up on them. This is something I have been dreading for 6 months now. What happens after he gets up on his knees ..... the craziness of keeping the floor clear of small legos and every other toy my older kids have. Therefore Caleb is very naughty for doing this. Here is what is going on in his head while discovering this new feature....

"OK, here I go"

"Hold on, I'm getting everything ready"

"Mom, are you still there watching me?"

"Let me do my push-ups first. My Aunt Lisa will be so proud of me!"

"There we go, I did it"

"Are you still watching me Mom?"

"Ha Ha, you can't stop me now!"

He is so dang cute but my life is not going to be the same anymore. He's gonna want to get out his car seat now instead of being a sweet boy and hanging out in there, he won't want to stay in one spot anymore. Am I ready for this????

Ummm...... OK?

I really don't know how to describe what's going on here. These kids found my "cute" tape and decided to put it on their face. Um, they must get this from Mark!! :)

Giddy Up

We were at my sister's house today and they have all their Halloween costumes out. Cole got out the Woody hat and put it on Caleb. Caleb thought it was funny and was cracking up at it. He was looking up at the hat and letting out this hysterical laugh that was so delicious. I couldn't resist not taking a picture.

HAPPY 7 YEARS!!

Even though our anniversary was yesterday, I still wanted to let my husband know how much I love and appreciate EVERYTHING he does for me and our kids.

It was so cute yesterday. Braeden had just got home from school and I was talking to Mark for a little bit and when we were done, he asked to talk to Braeden. So I gave him the phone and I put it on speaker like I always do because Braeden isn't a phone talker and he needs assistance when talking on the phone sometimes. Mark asked Braeden to do a favor for him. Then he told me to turn the speaker off so I knew something was up. When he hung the phone up, Braeden immeditaely ran out the back door and told me not to look. He was taking this whole thing serious and made sure I didn't follow him. He came back in the house and he was hiding something behind his back. Then he gave me 2 flowers and said "Happy Special Day!" (I think he forgot what to say but he thought of something to replace it.) One was from Elli and one was from Braeden. Too cute. What a sweet dad!

But Mark was gone all day yesterday, I didn't get to see him until 8:30 last night, but he was so sweet and brought home flowers and a card. Every card he has ever given me has a funny poem on it that he writes and they always make me laugh because it is just random words of trying to be cheezy. But they always make me laugh.

Love you Mark! You and I were meant to be together and I am so glad things in my life happened so we were able to find each other. I love how you still make me laugh, you still put up with me and your amazing way of being a father. Thanks!

Are you SCARED TOO???

I actually got out of bed this morning at 6:30 and decided to go lay with my kids in their bed. When I was laying there, this is the conversation I heard from Braeden and Elli....

Elli: "Girlfriends don't marry girls..... girlfriends marry boys."

Braeden: "Some do. But they are very naughty."

And that's about the jist of the whole conversation. I didn't hear how it all began, but are you kidding me. Braeden already knows that kind of stuff. At least he understands a little about why it's naughty. I seriously am so SCARED if Prop 102 and California's Prop 8 don't pass. I sure hope all of the church's efforts and our efforts pay off. If it doesn't, I'll be homeschooling.... well, I'll at least consider it.

What is a Mother To DO???

I walk in Chub's room to wake him up for his last feeding of the day. (I ain't going to wake up in the middle of the night to do it, so I feed him one last time about 9:00 or so) And this is what I find. 2 CUTE, ADORABLE, EDIBLE, SCRUMPTOUS little feet just waiting for me to take nibbles at. I couldn't stand it so I had to take a picture of those toes.
What am I suppose to do when I see feet like that?

The Merry - Go - Round

("Look Mom, NO HANDS!" Woohoo Braeden, you are a stud!)

My sister in law called last Thursday when the kids were off for October Break and wanted to get out of the house. We threw up a few suggestions and decided to head on over to Superstion Springs Mall and go to a dollar movie and ride the carousel. We went to Space Chimps for the 2nd time and the kids loved it as much as the first time. Then got upstairs to ride the carousel and it was closed for repair. So with disappointed kids, we went to See's Candy and got them suckers that they absolutely "NEEDED" and walked around for a while. The kids got restless and crazy so we decided to call it a day. Holly took her kids home and I stayed to finish feeding Caleb. When we were walking out of the mall, the caousel was open and since we haven't experienced the new 2 STORY CAROUSEL, I had to let them have a ride. It was a great 1 minute ride for $2.50 each. I mean, come on, 1 minute for that price. Well, I didn't get my stopwatch out and time it, but it sure wasn't anything much more than 1 minute. But the kids had fun and that's all that matters...RIGHT?

Dinosaur Museum

Last Tuesday, Elli's preschool went to the Dinosaur Museum. They have been learning about Dinos all month. So it was cute to see Elli excited about Triceratops, it's her favorite one. Anyway, I wasn't signed up to go with them but last minute I decided to go and I am glad I did. We had a lot of fun. Since I wasn't signed up, they only assigned me to Elli and another little girl. She was so dang cute. But she was scared to be there. It took a lot of convincing for her to come to the bathroom with us since it was right next to the big dino that made a loud noise. But we got in there and did our thing.

This was the little girl who was in my group. She was a complete cutie. If you notice in almost all these pictures of Elli, she has her arms like this. I am not sure what the reason was for this, but I am POSITIVE Elli thought in her head that she looked like a princess. That had to be the reason.

This cracked me up because the guy who was telling us about all these Dino artifacts (did that word make me sound smart? I sure felt smart!) was saying some pretty cook facts, but Elli went immediately to this horn and put it on her head and said, "Look Mom, I am a Triceratops."

Since I decided to go on this field trip when I was dropping off Elli at her preschool, I had to bring Chubs. Here he is in his usual state of happiness. Always conforming to Mommy's schedule and NEVER complaining. He even decided to go to sleep on his own with no tears. How did I get so lucky? Such a cutie pie though.

The most fun they had was panning for gold. They sure found a lot of it. They were the only 2 people out there at first, then a big huge group of people came later.

Reading a book ONLY for a picture. She was only there for about 30 seconds.

Well, there are the ARMS again. What a princess.

Thanks for the GOOD TIMES Ells!

Caleb's Song

A couple posts ago I said something about Braeden writing Caleb a song. Well, we did end up record Braeden singing it. This was way too cute not to post!
The reason he did this was so Caleb could have something to fall asleep to. Ever since our kids have been little, Mark or I would record a song for them and they would fall asleep to it. If we wanted Braeden or Elli to learn a song so we could get a recording of them, we would record us singing it so they would learn it. So Braeden wanted to do it for Chubs.
TOO CUTE!!

Too funny

Mark and I went to bed REALLY late last night. So we kind of slept in this morning. I got out of bed around 8:15 and it was really quiet. So I looked in Caleb's room and this is what I found. Braeden was on the floor writing lyrics to a song about Caleb. He wants to record it so Caleb can go to sleep to it at night. Elli was in his crib. She had my phone with her watching movies and holding it up so Caleb could watch. Here's the thing though. Caleb was sound asleep. Braeden told me that he was crying so he sang to him and patted his back and Caleb fell back asleep. (I think that is where he got his idea to write that song.) Elli was trying to stop him crying by holding the movie up. But he was out and didn't wake up for another hour after that. SWEET! I just couldn't believe Caleb fell back to sleep and didn't wake up with Elli rolling around in his crib.
After General Conference, we drove to Brig and Camille's house and hung out with them. While the guys were at Priesthood, us girls took the kids to the park. Well, I only got pictures of us right before the park. None of when we got there.... Ooops.

I got a cute one of Eli and Caleb waiting in the stroller. These guys are only 3 months apart.

Here are the girls on their Princess Car. So cute when their together.

Here's a funny one. When the guys got back from Priesthood, we watched the USC / Oregon game. (WooHoo, Fight ON!) The kids did a pretty good job of staying downstairs watching the Heffalump Halloween Movie. We thought it was cute of them on the couch so we took pictures. It was completely dark so I took this first picture blindly. Not knowing if I got everyone it. Then I took another one to be sure one wasn't blurry. Well, these pictures caught Braeden RED HANDED, or should I say GREEN HANDED. Look at him in the first picture, then look in the next picture.

Yep, he picked his nose in the first and his finger is in his mouth in the next. I am so proud of my kids. I give up trying to tell him that is GROSS!!

When we got home and put the kiddos in bed, I went to kiss them and they were asleep. I noticed Elli has some kind of wood in her bed and this is what it was. A GHOST. We were putting up Halloween decorations today and she must have liked this one and wanted to hug and sleep with it. I tried to take it away from her and she woke up and told me not touch it because it was her friend ghost. So I said OK. Mark thinks she gets her wierdness from me. He's just jealous that she gets her cuteness from me so he tries to convince himself that the wierdness is from me.

The Biggest Fans

This actualy happened the night before Marks' concert. Mark was in his studio practicing and the kids had just gotten out of the shower. They are always are singing Mark's songs around the house and Braeden envies his dad and wants a guitar like his so bad. So Braeden made his own guitar and Elli made her own drums. They were apart of Daddy's band for a night. It was fun jammin with the kids. I love how they are Daddy's Biggest Fans.
