Student of The Week

My cutest little Kindergartner was chosen to be student of the week.  He worked really hard to not lose any grabbers (that what his teacher uses for discipline) and he was chosen!

His class wrote a fun book about him, he got to bring pictures to his class and he got to bring home Bernie the Bear.  That was his favorite part.  This is the backpack that Bernie comes to your house in.  Braeden took this very serious.  He rode his bike to piano that day with Bernie on his back.  It was quite a fun thing for him.

Here's the poster we made of Braeden's pictures.  He loved taking that too.

Here Braeden is with Bernie.  Bernie had PJ's and school clothes and that was pretty special to change his clothes.  Then he made sure he slept next to Bernie too.

Such a fun week for him!!  Congrats Braeden, we are so proud of you for being a great Student of the Week!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KARA!!

This is ONLY a week late, but Happy Birthday Kara!!!  You are my cutest little sister.  Love ya!!  And you are absolutely beautiful!!  I mean, look at that picture, you are One Good Lookin' Creature!!  :)

Kara got to go to Disneyland for her birthday with some friends!  I think she had a fabulous time!!

We went to lunch at "Red Bird" or I mean, Red Robin with her friend from work, my 2 brothers, sister in law, mom and dad and kids!  It was a lot of fun!!!

Then a couple nights later, we went to Red Lobster for dinner.  It was a lot of fun again!!  We enjoyed the cheesy bread that you get!  MMmmmm!!

My kids trying to keep caleb entertained!  They did pretty good with that job!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRL!!  WE LOVE YOU LOTS!!!  No, really, we DO love you!!

Who Needs Baby Einsteins??

We've got our own Little Einstein in our family!  Look at that hair.  Another nickname for this boy is Einstein!!  And I even cut his hair a little, but not much.

This kid got into Braeden and Elli's chocolate one day.  I didn't hear him anymore, so I knew there was trouble somewhere.... And there was.  He had chocolate all over his face.  He also had the biggest grin on his face too.  He was lovin' it!  He probably will love chocolate as much as I do.

Caleb LOVES LOVES LOVES to take bath.  When his clothes are off and I pick him up to carry him to the bathtub, he starts kicking and laughing.  He knows he is about to get in the tub and is so excited.  Here are a few cute things he does when he's taking a bath...

1. Always kicks his legs
2. Holds onto his 5th appendage while waving the other arm around.... BOYS
3. Kicks his legs some more
4. Smiles and laughs the whole time
5. Still holding on tightly to his appendage
6. Will let go of it to watch his pee come out
7. Grabs it again
8. Splashes water everywhere while kicking his legs
9. Gets mad when I get the towel out

And this happens with EVERY bath.  Bath time is fun with him!! He makes me laugh!

A Baker weekend

Mark's brother, Greg, blessed their 6th baby a couple weeks ago.  There were many Baker festivities to be had prior to the blessing day.  We went to Charleston's for dinner with all the kids, 11 kids, that is.  On Saturday, we went to the bowling alley like we always do when we get together with the Bakers.

Then we went to the movies and saw Monsters vs. Aliens.

After church, we had a luncheon at their house.  Kids were crazy as usual, but it was fun.

These 2 kids are only 2 weeks apart and they were trying to get into anything they could.  but I got these cute pictures of them.

This is Ginger and Elli being delicious.  They were soooo cute together and best buddies from the second they sat next to each other at church.

We had to get a group photo too.

Our Uncle Keith!  This is Mark's uncle who is such an honorable man.  He is truly a special guy!

This is how Mark's mom use to comb his hair.  Compare Caleb to the baby in the next picture.....that's Mark.  Are they twins or what??

And here is the sweet Sarah Lyn Baker.  She is absolutely adorable.  She is such a little angel.

Where Did He Learn This??

The Baker genes haven't taken long to kick in with my little Caleb.  He has been a go getter since 5 months.  Crawling everywhere.  Then not too long after that, standing up with help and walking around as long as he has had something to hold onto.  NOW, it's climbing ON the furniture, jumping around, and climbing up the stairs.  There is NO stopping this kid.  He is on the go.

My sister came over during lunch one day and then she asked, "Um, is Caleb allowed to be on the couch like that?"  My thought was he could be on the couch but he could fall of so let's go look at him and get him off.  Well, this is what she meant.  I don't even know how he got there.  But he was cute when we found him.  This kid doesn't just smile when I look at him, he laughs every time.  TOOOOOO ADORABLE!!!

Then I was getting ready one day and left Caleb in the playroom.  I heard a lot of toys rolling around and when I came to check on him, I found this.  Another adorable kid LAUGHING.  He knows when he's being cute!!

Funny Story

Mark is ALWAYS brainwashing Elli and telling her that he is her boyfriend and she is going to marry him someday. Mark will ask her who her boyfriend is and who she is going to marry and her response is always , "You Daddy!" She'll even call him Boyfriend instead of Dad sometimes.

Well, yesterday we were with cousins and Mark was asking her again who she was going to marry and Elli said, "You Daddy!" But a few minutes later, she whispered to Mark this....

Elli: "Dad, I'm so sorry, but I can't marry you."

Mark: "But why?"

Elli: "Your hands are too big. I have to marry Bryce. Sorry Daddy." (Bryce is her cousin)

Mark: "What if I buy you a really pretty ring, will you marry then?"

Elli: "Yes, and if you buy me a toy, I'll marry you!"

Just today I was asking Elli why she said that just to hear her response. She said, "When I get big, I'll marry Daddy. And you'll get small Mom and marry Bryce."

Play Ball!

Braeden played his first t-ball game this past week. It's cute how those little people play t-ball. They have no idea what is going on, it's more comedy than baseball.

Braeden played first base in one inning. He tried so hard to get the ball every time. He didn't quite understand that he needed to stay on first base so everyone else could throw him the ball. He would run clear over to 3rd base to get a ball and since none of the others kids were paying attention at the time, he got it and would run back to 1st base to get the runner out. I think he'll get it someday.

Braeden was the last batter every time and since it's t-ball, no one ever gets out and when the last batter bats, they let the kids run all the way around. Every time Braeden hit, he got a HOMERUN!! He was so excited, he told me that every time he hit the ball. Oh, the innocence of kids!

He's almost to home

And he made it!! Another homerun Buddy!! You rock!!

Then another time when he got the ball, his coach told him to tag the runner. So Braeden put the ball in his glove, took his glove off and tagged him with his bare hand. It was quite cute!

Elli REALLY wanted to play on the playground. The only problem is that the playground was really far away. I told her she couldn't go over there because I wouldn't be able too see her that far and yaddi yaddi yadda. Then Elli proceeds to tell me to do this (look at picture below) and she would be able to go. Then I could see her and it would be all good. I couldn't stop laughing that she told me this. Where does she get it???

There was a lady bug in Elli's hair and I was telling her how cute it was. So I took a picture of it so she could see it. Then she starts saying, "Oh, it tickles!"

We were glad our "Gampa" could join us for the ball game.

There was a hole right where we were sitting and Elli liked to sit in it.

Caleb loves to do this Elli. Well, Elli lets him do it too. She loves any interaction with that boy.

I don't know how Elli laughs while Caleb does this to her. It would hurt me with his nails sometimes.

And of course, we have to get a picture of our Little Einstein. He has inherited a new nickname because of his hair.

I can't believe how BEAUTIFUL the weather has been lately. This time of year is gorgeous and I love watching my kids ride bikes and letting them play outside when it's such great weather. So we went outside and took advantage of the weathe since it won't be long before the 100's come.
Braeden was "exercising" on the monkey bars and timing himself of how long he could hold himself up. It was quite funny how serious he took it.

Elli loved pushing Caleb on the swing. It actually was Caleb's first time on the swing (I know I sound like a horrible mom) and he didn't know what to do with himself. He could have stayed on it all night.

Spring Break

For Spring Break, my family stayed at my sister's house for the week. My sister and bro-in-law took their 2 oldest kids to Hawaii, so we stayed at their house and babysat their 2 little kids. It ended up being a lot of fun. My kids had cousins that entertained them all week. I was able to work on some things that I have been wanting to work on. I realized when I got home that I didn't take too many pictures, but here's a few things we did.
We went to Braeden's t-ball practice. This is his first year playing t-ball! He LOVES IT!!!

Elli has made some friends. She always wants to play with them on the playground!

Crew, Cade and Elli being so good while Braeden practiced!

Then we watch Crew wear all kinds of girls shoes. He was always putting on mine and Elli's shoes. Especially the flip flops. I had my bracelet box out and Elli wanted to make a bracelet so she started making one. Well, of course Crew wanted to join in the fun. So he made a bracelet and wore it some of the time. Sorry Lisa!!

We got the bubbles out one night and had fun blowing them. I love this time of year where we can go outside and ride bikes and do things like this. PERFECT!!

They all were trying SOOOOO hard to make a BIG bubble.

We had fun staying at their house! ANYTIME you need to go out of town Lisa, my kids would LOVE IT!!!
